ABOUT PEARLINE BANTON.

Pearline Banton Learned her craft at the London College of Fashion during the late 60's, as a fashion designer, pattern maker and dressmaker.

After learning the theory of the craft, she worked i top fashion studios, with very little pay, to learn the production side of creative designing.

She learned her skills at:- Frank Usher, Susan Small, Maria Claire,Hardy Aimes and The Emmanuelle's, designer's of Princess Diana's wedding gown.

To cut along story short, Pearline Banton Designer was invited by the Jamaican government to help with skill training among young people. She is now back in London and has decided to setup The Friend of the Youth, a non-profit making charity to provide skills training in fashion for young people. We shall not leave a stone unturned. Young people who want to do something positive with their lives, in the way of earning a living the doors shall be opened.

We need all the help we can get in the way of funding.

If everything fall into place, we hope to have our exhibition early next year, to attract more young people.

We are asking people with a voice to join our company, to enable it to grow.

This is my legacy and it is thanks to this country that Pearline Banton will give her all.
